The Hamm police department has developed event formats for neighbourhood-based networking for 2022. The aim is to get to know the people in Hamm's neighbourhoods better, to meet them at eye level in a dialogue and to work together to break down prejudices.

On Thursday, September 22, the second neighborhood visit by the Hamm police took place this year.

30 colleagues were guests at the Muslim community of the Yunus Emre Mosque on Hülskamp in Heessen and the Alevi community on Hohe Straße in the city center.

After guided tours and keynote speeches, the subsequent dialogue focused on questions about how the Hamm police are viewed by members of the community, what experiences they have had in their encounters with the police and what they would like or expect from the police in the future.

The event was moderated by Sabrina Beckmann, Head of the "Society & Prevention" department at Multikulturelles Forum e.V.. The Multicultural Forum has been a cooperation partner of the Hammer police since the end of 2020.
