Andreas Guidotti has 36 years of service experience. His most recent position was as a squad leader in the Hamm police control center.
After his training in Selm, he held positions in the task force and in the guard and change service in Cologne. In 1997, he completed his promotion to the senior civil service in Hagen. After his subsequent transfer to Hamm police station, he took on his first management functions as a watch commander and deputy squad leader at Mitte police station.
In his new role, he is now responsible for the officers in the five watch squads that are responsible for operations in the districts of Bockum-Hövel, Heessen and Herringen. "It is important to me that my colleagues behave respectfully and politely towards the citizens. This increases the trust and reputation of the police," emphasizes Guidotti. However, he also attaches just as much importance to people respecting the work of the emergency services and behaving accordingly: "I'm happy when we can help and my colleagues go home safe and sound at the end of their shift."
The district mayors Klaus Jendreiek (Bockum-Hövel), Erzina Brennecke (Heessen) and Franz Tillmann (Herringen) welcomed the new watch manager alongside Polizeipräsident Thomas Kubera and Polizeidirektor Jörg Heun at a press event on Monday, March 18.
"Mr. Guidotti brings a lot of valuable experience with him. When it comes to operations, you can't fool him," says Thomas Kubera. As police station manager, he also has the important function of regional representative and is the central point of contact and link to the local municipal institutions and committees.
The 57-year-old Hammer native is married and enjoys traveling to the mountains and the sea with his wife. Soccer is one of his greatest passions: his heart beats for TuS Lohauserholz, where he has played soccer in all teams for 45 years since his youth.
We wish Andreas Guidotti every success in his new role!
